Fika Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Job Description:
Reimbursement Verification: Verify reimbursement documents to ensure compliance with finance policies.
Invoice Management: Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests, flagging any unusual or questionable items or prices.
Payment Processing: Sort, code, and match invoices; set them up for payment, and enter and upload them into the system.
Expense Tracking: Track expenses and process expense reports, preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments.
Transaction Posting: Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.
Account Monitoring: Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues.
Vendor Correspondence: Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors, responding to inquiries promptly.
Reporting: Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
Audit Support: Provide supporting documentation for audits and maintain accurate historical records.
Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all organizational information.
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Skills:
Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
Strong data entry and management skills.
