Fika Consultancy is looking for a dedicated HSE Officer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are maintained across all operations. This role involves risk assessments, training, and conducting safety inspections to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain HSE documentation and procedures, including the HSEMS system on-site.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures to mitigate hazards.
Initiate and organize HSE training sessions and toolbox talks (TBTs) for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Perform safety walkabouts to identify unsafe conditions and report any anomalies.
Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
Inspect personnel work to identify issues or non-conformities with safety standards.
Establish and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct spot checks on employees to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Visit client sites to ensure the safe delivery of products.
Participate in emergency response drills and act as an emergency responder during real emergencies.
Verify that all tools and equipment are safe and adequate for use.
Review the Incident Action Plan for safety considerations.
Approve subcontractor safety plans and ensure they meet company standards.
Coordinate hazardous waste registration and removal through the appropriate channels.
Communicate training needs of staff to the HSE Manager.
Manage traffic and assets within the depot to ensure safety.
Conduct routine checks on fire systems, spill kits, and other safety equipment.
Inspect tools, ladders, and other critical safety equipment.
Perform random alcohol checks on staff and report any anomalies.
Assist with other HSE-related tasks or projects as assigned by the HSE Manager.
Skills/Competencies Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE roles with a focus on site safety.
Proficient in HSEMS documentation and compliance assessments.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and fire safety practices.
Certification in NEBOSH/IGC or equivalent is highly desirable.
Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid.
